Meet the Teacher

Hi! I'm Ms. Amy! I have been in the teaching field for 13 years.  I taught 1st grade for 5 years and Kindergarten for 3 years. When taking a break to raise my babies, I couldn't stay away from the classroom and substituted for 3 years in various grades. I have loved this next adventure of teaching preschool within my home.  My husband and I have 4 very active boys who keep us busy. I was lucky enough to be able to teach preschool for my last two boys and loved sharing my joy for learning with them as I do with your children now. 

I grew up in Las Vegas and moved to Utah in 2007. I am finally getting used to the winters and am finding some joy in the snow. I love hiking, swimming, reading a good book, and Disneyland trips. 

I graduated BYU with an early childhood education degree.  This degree, combined with my teaching experience, and my own time with my children, has strengthened my desire to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences within the younger grades.
